Geoscience Programs at UConn

UConn offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in geosciences. Click on the left side bar or links below for information on each of these programs.

Undergraduate Program:

Geosciences is now a major again at UConn, as of fall 2009. Students at UConn can follow this major if they are interested in studying geology at UConn - and should find our more about the major here.

Graduate Program:

The mission of the geosciences graduate program at UConn is to offer transdisciplinary programs of instruction and research that advance understanding of the interaction of biological, chemical, geological, and physical processes, including feedback mechanisms, at all spatial and temporal scales. It centers around the processes that have shaped the Earth through geologic time, continue to shape the environment today, and which provide the basis for understanding the present and future impact of human activity on the planet.
