Geological Society of Connecticut: The first meeting of the Geological Society of Connecticut is rapidly approaching. It will be held Monday November 9 at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill. Attached is a registration form to sign up for the meeting. Also attached is a membership form for those who have not yet had a chance to sign up for membership. Please return the meeting registration before November 2, 2009.  Please note that the meeting rate is discounted for members of the Society. Those who have not yet joined the Society may take advantage of the member's rate by enclosing their membership registration.

. In March students went for a long weekend trip with adjunct professor Dr. John Haynes to various West Virginia caves, to learn more about karst topography in the Appalachian region. (Thanks to Lee Boop for providing her photos in an online album!)

It's part of Lamont-Doherty's Cooperative Network. You can find out more about this network and view recordings here !
It recorded the recent Pakistan earthquake on October 8th - view the recording here .
